How to Use VX30 with a Screen Capture Program
By using VX30 and a Screen Capture Program you can record your computers screen and then post it to your website. This is a great way to show people how to use a particular piece of software or a web application.
The first step is to set your screens resolution down to 800 x 600. You can do this by right clicking on your desktop and selecting Properties. This will open the Display Properties window. Now click the Settings tab and lower the Screen resolution to 800 x 600.
CamStudio is the software I will be using. It is recomended that you do a few practice sessions before recording your "How To". Once you have recorded your actions with CamStudio you will have an .AVI file.
The next step is to take the .AVI file and encode it with VX30. We recommend using the following settings for encoding your video.
- Stream 1 W 640 H 480 Fps 7 V 300 Kbps
- Stream 2 W 464 H 352 Fps 7 V 100 Kbps
- Stream 3 W 304 H 224 Fps 7 V 30 Kbps
Now you can view your "Video How To" on the web.
