How to Identify and Correct Interlacing in your video.
You may have noticed that your video looks great on tv, but when you play it on a Computer it has jagged lines. This is generally caused by interlaced video. Interlacing refreshes an image on the screen by scanning every other line, and on the next scan, scanning every opposite line.
The following is an example of a video that has been encoded with out de-interlacing it. Notice how the edge of the spout are jagged this is caused by the interlaced video.
This is the same video but it has been de-interlaced.Now you will notice that the jagged lines are gone.
One of the many features of the Zentu encoder is the ability to de-interlace you video as it is being encoded. To enable this feature go to the expert section and under the details tab check the Deinterlace source button.
